What Changed
The site is no longer a portfolio. It's now a research + projects platform — two separate sections instead of a flat list of everything I've done.
Research covers data analysis and investigations. Projects covers tools and apps. I also added categories to Research: Learning Analysis, Independent Research, and Published. Makes it easier to see where each project sits and where I'm heading.
I split About into two pages — a general About Me and a CV page. And I created a Request a Report form where visitors can suggest data topics they want to see. I'll prioritise based on interest, but if someone wants something specific, I'll build it.
Forms now go through Netlify rather than Formspree, after moving my domain DNS and project to a different account.
Why the Restructure
Analytics started showing that the actual reports — not projects — are what people find interesting. The Excel Minis in particular got downloaded more than twenty times, which is a small signal, but a signal nonetheless, to pursue more data reporting.
It also reflects where I'm at. I'm quite proficient now in Excel, SQL, Python (various libraries), and AI — tools that can be used in a freelance capacity alongside employment. I am no longer entry level, it would seem.
What's Next
I'll flesh out more data projects and research topics to see what resonates. It could be anything — financial analysis, niche subjects, whatever. I'll find and report on data that I find interesting and go from there.
